It might be difficult to switch to F1 from H1, especially after getting into the greencard process. Since the F1 visa is a non-immigrant type, you might need to demonstrate that you have no intention to immigrate.
Alternatively you could do the part time MBA on H1, if your employer is supportive of that. Full time MBA on an H1 could be dicey. You need to find out if it is doable with EAD status.

Hi.,
My wife and kids went for visa interview last friday (13th June 2008). Visa officer collected their passport and told that you will recieve the passport by next week. NO colored notice/slips are issued that time. But, We didn't receive the passport so far. The passport was NOT sent to the VFS office either. When we called the consulate regarding this, they told that the passport is with Consulate only and I-797 verification is under process which will take 5-10 business days.
My questions here is:
1. Once the visa officer accepts the passport, what are all the process involved before despatching the stamped passport to the applicant?
Note:
Currently I am in US under visa extension and yet to get my passport stamped for this extension period. My wife went to stamping with my new extension approval notice I-797.

It is PIMS verification. Your I-797/petition is verified against a central database. If the petition info. is not already there in the database, then it may take around 1-4 weeks to get it entered in the database and verify it.

For an 'old school' recommendation, forget auto, firmware, default settings, etc. Switch to manual mode and play with the shutter/aperture yourself. It's more fun in the end!

We had to go through the same situation. If you have registered for online notifications then you will get an email about the RFE. The actual letter reaches the lawyer around 7 days after the RFE was generated. So you have enough time to complete the medical tests once you get the RFE email and then submit the response immediately when you get the letter.
The only thing is that USCIS sends back the original medical form along with the letter and asks the doctor to update that form.

Reason is probably they discovered your employer is doing similar crap with other employees.

I am really excited to hear finally we got $60K to continue our approach to urge immigration reform. That is really great! And I already asked my employer to send letter to NYS Senator Charles Schumer and Hillary Clinton to support comprehensive immigration reform. We invited them to talk with us at their convenient time. Guys, keep hard work. That's our life and we must succeed in this immigration reform.

Hi Everyone,
My 7th year H1 is schedule to expire on 12/02/06. As my current employer has filed for labor cert. (PEBC) for more than 365 days, I will be eligible to file for extension after 06/02/06 (6 months before current H1 extension expires).
Now my question is:
If I want to change the Job and new employer is willing to transfer the H1, would I be able to file for H1 transfer and 8th year extension with the new employer after 06/02/06. In another word extension upto 12/02/07.
I did a paid consultation with Murthy Law firm and the Attorney told me I will be eligible for 1 year extension, he did not explained that clearly.
Has anybody in this forum experienced the same situation?
Please let me know.

Where did you hear that from? The passport application form has a field for the SSN and I dont think its optional.
We had our baby last month but SSN in IL takes 12 weeks and they refused to give it over the phone. I dont think I have much of a choice but to wait it out till I get the SSN to be able to plan any trip to India to see the grandparents.
If you have any link that states that SSN is optional for passport, please let me know.

This is not an " go as you like" game in some 3rd world lawless Immigration Dept.... As long as we have Provided Initial evidence and you have Proof of that - who will dare to reject your case under the current legislations ??
Now what they can do is Probably re-define the word "Initial Evidence" and overload it little more. That wont even matter because your/mine "IE" should be taken from the Doc that was in place during July 2nd - Right ??
What do you say ??
nothing seems to be moving forward...and this is the last week for Aug 17th...so the more # of rejections/denials without possibility to reapply/re-appeal the less burden or number of applications they will have to process...my thoughts!

We have had several wonderful members who have joined the chapter already. We are forming local networks in Nashville, Memphis and Knoxville so that it's easier for all TN members to participate in the chapter activities. Coordination of the activities will be done through the Yahoo group.

Mahatma has kindly agreed to coordinate the activities in Knoxville area. If you are in Knoxville or surrounding areas PM him, he'll help us get organized. Members like him who already have their GCs and helping our cause is a real insiration to the rest of us.
We are in the process of setting up a network in Memphis too. Don't worry Memphiseans, you are in our radar :). PM me your details and I'll help you folks get organized. We already have some enthusiatic volunteers ready to work with in building local networks.
IV TN is not all Immigration. We are building strong network of likeminded persons. It will not only help us work with IV to solve our GC problem, but also spin off into future opportunities from the development of these network.
All in all, I really feel blessed to be working with this group of motivated volunteers.
